High-Rise Demolition Contractor

High-Rise demolition overview

As many of the structures have been constructed in concrete, we have encountered cast insitu and pre-cast reinforced concrete, pre and post tensioned concrete and even high alumina concrete.

Some of the cast insitu structures have also had their floor slabs poured onto asbestos cement permanent formwork, creating particularly sensitive and hazardous projects.

Many of the multi storey car parks were already unstable before we commenced our work, so we also had to design a temporary support system to maintain stability of the structures throughout the demolition process.

With the experienced team here, we have continually risen to the challenge and thrive on innovative solutions.

Manchester Demolition has been involved with the demolition of many High-Rise Structures throughout the United Kingdom. The range of structures has also been extensive, such as:

  • 8 Storey Office Block in Broad St, London.
  • 16 Storey Office Block, Ipswich.
  • 46 metre High Concrete Silos, Ipswich Docks.
  • 15 Storey Block of Flats in Hartcliffe, Bristol.
  • 5 and 7 Storey Car Parks in Wolverhampton, Norwich and Colchester.
  • 50 and 75 metre high Kiln in British Sugar Factories, Wissington and Ipswich.
  • Numerous Fire Station training towers throughout East Anglia
  • 55 and 65 metre high Steel Gasholder and Columns  in places such Paignton,Beckton and Sunderland.
